What is Vigil123?

Vigil123 is a quiet place to show up for someone going through something hard. Every candle lit, every minute prayed, every word left — all of it is kept for one person, who can see every bit of it.

Keeping watch

A vigil is a private circle gathered around one person — other people's candles stand beside yours. Come once, or come often; a single candle is a whole contribution.

However you show up

A prayer, a thought, and a quiet moment all count the same here.

What happens to what you write

What you write is shown to the people in that vigil, and to no one else. It is never public, never listed, never searchable, never sold. There are no ads here, and nothing that follows you around the internet.

Two honest limits

Running this service means we can technically see what is stored — we look only to fix something broken or to answer a report of harm, never out of curiosity. And a link to a vigil works for whoever holds it, so pass one on with care.

Why you have to sign in

Because a vigil belongs to the people in it. Signing in is the lock on that door: it is how we know that whoever is reading a person's story was invited to read it. You will also need a link from whoever is keeping the vigil — there is no other way in.

If you were sent a link, open it — it will take you straight to the vigil it was made for. If you are already part of one, sign in to return to it.

When you continue with Google, it asks to share your name and email — your name for your candle, your email so you can find your way back.
